Scene 25

Yes I saw it. It was gripping. And it cast a whole bag of doubts upon my brains. This morning I had my brunch in front and I chewed for an hour. When I saw the scene where the priest approached the kid I was gasping like a mule. And it ended finding me again fixed on the couch. Something inside of it captured me, and it stayed with me even afterwards. Believe it or not it was my first Almodóvar experience. And I liked it. Maybe it was the color. Or maybe it was Juan.

How do you continue a day that started with La Mala Educatión? I picked up a CD I found in Beijing and let that accordion take flight. I saw the waterfalls again right in front of me, in my car. And I felt like deep down in the ocean. Yeah I have liked that melody from a long time ago. And it came with me all on the freeway.

I remembered when they screened La Mala Educatión on campus I was waiting in line to get tickets. Didn’t win that time. I under-estimated the attraction of Almodóvar. And maybe it’s better this way now that I’m watching it in a different personal condition. And that, reminds me of Mysterious Skin. Screened one day before my flight back to Los Angeles, it got tremendous applause already. It even got Robin Guthrie on the soundtrack. Oh well, maybe I’ll watch it with B. Although it might betray my sharing-joy-only-rule.

A & B. What a combo.
